Welcome to my last #treesquare challenge post as this month is coming to an end. For the month of July BeckyB has hosted her Tree Square challenge and we could post a tree a day, or as often as we wanted. I was only able to post weekly and really wanted to join in one last time. I found this first photo in my archive as you can see the leaves are turning so the photo was taken in the Fall. I was standing watching my horse Chloe through the leaves and thought what a great photo, and it works perfect for this challenge!
I was inspired on my trail ride today as the route I took has a lot of nice trees. I know this is a photo challenge of trees which when we post them we make sure they are square in shape. All my photos will be posted this way but as I traveled down the trail I thought of something to share and it will be a little surprise at the end of this post. My trail ride today was beautiful and fun! 😀
My horse Chloe see’s other horseback riders down the trail!
This is one of the widest trails I travel and there were a lot of riders out this morning. I was riding alone, it was just Chloe and I as we shared the trails with others. Some passed us, others went around the corner and out of view. I love the tree lined street we are walking down. I believe many of these trees are liquid ambers, I think. I am not real good at tree identification, but I try!
Heading down the trail this tree caught my eye so wispy and full! It almost looks like the wind is blowing but it isn’t at all. It could be because I am moving and I clicked the camera for the shot, I am not sure but I like the photo. I wasn’t sure if I got this photo so I took a second one and I am much closer to the tree. I thought it good enough to share!
Step, two, three, four and we are almost past the tree! I just took a chance and it came out pretty good. I am glad you could see the full tree with the first photo. I am not sure what kind of tree this is but when it blooms it has pretty yellow flowers! I like Chloe’s ears in both photos. One of the photos she has one ear back listening to me most likely. I may have said something, I can’t remember but I do talk to her when I need to as she responds to my voice. It may have been just a “what a good girl”. I Love Miss Chloe! She’s such a wonderful partner as she carries me down the trail.
Oh, this is about trees! Sorry, I can just go down a rabbit hole sometimes talking about the horses. I am so happy I am able to put together this last Tree Square post because I truly LOVE TREES!! Here is my surprise, I hope you enjoy and it isn’t a square photo, but I thought I could cheat and share this too.
I really enjoyed making this video today! It turned out wonderful!
I have so much fun making these video’s and I was so inspired because of this tree challenge. Wasn’t that pink blooming tree gorgeous? Oh my goodness, I could not believe all the flowers all over that tree! That was one HAPPY tree! I am really happy I was able to share my morning and my trail ride. Thank you for visiting and Thank you Becky for this wonderful challenge. It has been a blast joining in with these posts!
Welcome to my weekly smile and for this week I want to share thankfulness. I am thankful my horse Murphy is doing good and the belly ache he had is gone and he is eating well, looking great and back to his happy self.
I am thankful for our health and well being. I know we all are busy and with being busy we need to be mindful to take care of ourselves. I know I am thankful for my new job being able to sleep at night which I know is keeping me healthy. I have been at my new job 8 months now and all is very good.
I am thankful for all of my loved ones and family. We have had our ups and downs, but we all love each other and are so supportive of all we do, I feel blessed. I big shout out to family and loved ones!
I am thankful for all my friends. I have such gratitude for all of my friends, even if I do not see you every day or often I think about all my friends and how lucky we have each other.
Lastly, I am thankful for this blog which brings me lots of SMILES! I am smiling as I write this and this is the shortest post I think I have written in a long time. But that’s what blogging is all about right? Write what you feel, and for this week I wanted to share that even if I do not know you well, or you never comment but read my blog, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Its such a pleasure to share, and brings me joy and smiles. I also like to hear from you, what makes you smile?
I’m smiling because over a year ago I decided to stop coloring my hair blonde. It is naturally blonde but mostly really dark blonde almost brown. It has taken me a long time to accept myself as me. I don’t need to stay blonde to be me and I don’t need fancy hair cuts to be me. I cut my own hair and I love it. (I followed a Youtube haircut instructions!) I am learning to love myself even though I want to lose a few pounds. I am learning to love myself thinking I should work out more, or walk more, or look prettier! We are our hardest critic, I know, I know too well. But we are who we are and I have found with age, all of these things just don’t matter so much any more. It’s what’s in your heart, and my heart is big and SMILING!
I can’t believe July is almost over and oh my, did it fly by fast. I have been having fun in the sun, in sunny Southern California! Can I get you a cup of coffee or tea? I am going to get iced coffee today as I share my weekend and accomplishments of the month. It was a crazy week but as this weekend comes to an end I am home relaxing and enjoying the Olympics that are on in the background as I type away!
My daughter’s guinea pigs are here visiting. I am cleaning their cage and this is their turn out cage while I clean!
The happy guinea pigs are here as I am babysitting them as my daughter was to be away for training for three weeks. Unfortunately, it all got canceled for her but I had already picked up the piggies and she will be taking them home in two weeks. They are so adorable and I enjoy them immensely. I think they are so cute out and about in this temporary cage while I clean their home cage. I just had to share!
My hubby was able to complete the retaining wall and I thought I would share a couple of photos. What a job. The bricks weigh 55lbs each and he moved them all into place mostly by himself. He had a few hiccups, lining things up and had to tear down and rebuild at least twice in different sections. Oh dear, he definitely was outside working out as I call it in his make shift gym (as it were) lifting and moving all the bricks. He then filled in the back of the wall with back fill dirt, and he did get some help from a friend with that part. I told him to hire help, but he can be pretty stubborn wanting to save that money for something else. It was just all physical labor which he completed. I am very proud of him actually!
Its a very long wall turning in the corner of the backyard. The photo on the left is from the corner of the right photo.
In and done. The wall is done which is FANTASTIC, but we have a lot more work needing to be done to complete the whole yard. It’s all a work in progress in actuality, but the wall was the biggest project for sure! He actually worked fairly quickly and completed it before the end of July. I know he is so done moving bricks! Haha, I would be too!
On to other things to reflect upon for this month. I have now had my new horse Murphy for two months. He has been doing well. He was laid up for one month when I got him because he had a splint bone fracture which is completely healed. He then had his shoes replaced which we do every six weeks or so and after this was done he lost one shoe and after that was replaced he then lost the other front shoe. He only had shoes on his front hoofs. I made a decision with my farriers help and advice to try letting him be barefoot with no shoes. He has great hoofs, and he is very healthy and at three years old we can always go back to putting on shoes if needed in the future. I also may just buy trail boots for him as I think he will be fine in the arena, but the trails may be too hard for his hoofs.
Playing with the hose as I filled up the bucket of water! Silly boy!
These were taken this weekend. He is happy, shiny and doing great. I can’t wait to ride this week and working with him is such a joy.
Murphy is very smart and loveable. He is very lazy but tries and is so fun to work with and what a personality! With his size came some apprehension from me but thankfully as I’ve been working with him his size disappears. I now look at him as my loveable boy and I am so use to his size I don’t blink an eye. Of course, I know to be safe and kind. I think about my actions before I do them to keep him safe and keep myself safe. You can get lax around horses, especially the ones you know well. It is always smart to be smart, alert, very calm and very clear with your actions. This brings peace and calmness, everything they are looking for so they know they are safe. I just love interacting with these giant beasts. They are truly magical in so many ways! ❤
Murphy has a friend! This young chicken has been roosting on his back and a friend was able to take these photos! 😀
Haha, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen photos of chickens on a horses back, but my horse? I’ve never seen this before. Chloe would not put up with a chicken on her back, no way! But he doesn’t care at all! What a chill dude, exactly what I was looking for in my next horse! Murphy, you are just ADORABLE!!
Thank you for visiting my coffee share and having a cup with me today. I am late in posting but really wanted to join this weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful week and thank you Natalie for hosting #weekendcoffeeshare!
Trees! How can you not Love trees? I suppose many take trees for granted. I just love trees and everything trees bring to our lives. They sure can help a sunset right? Look how much prettier this sunset is by having the trees in the foreground. I like the line of mountains too but I need to keep the focus on the trees as this is a tree challenge after all. I am sharing all things trees for BeckyB’s #Treesquare challenge and I am sharing photos I have in my archives. It’s been fun going back through and am hoping what I share today shows a theme. 😀
I have little stories to tell as we go through the photos. I hope you don’t mind a little reflection of my week last week. Sunday was a wonderful day until the afternoon when my new horse Murphy got sick. I am so grateful and thankful for a stable friend who saw him rolling and pawing and realizing this is not normal and he had a bad belly ache, it is called colic. He had a bad case of gas colic. He is doing fine now, but we had to call the vet out for an emergency vet call (it seems to happen on Sundays, this costs even more than a weekday call) but worth every penny spent. She treated him for the belly ache and I can report he is doing great. I now will keep some meds on hand to manage the pain that can come with gas colic. Murphy is so loved by all at the barn, and I love him too! ❤
Haha, as I chose the photos and placed them I realize I have the first 2 photos out of order. But instead of changing it let’s say I went to bed and saw the sunset and then the next morning I got up early for the sunrise! Here is a beautiful sunrise as I walk around the block and the sun is rising to a beautiful morning.
Day 2 of last week brought a power outage at our house. I tended to the horses which included a mash for Murphy with electrolytes in it for his tummy and then headed to work. I got the call at work all the power went out in our house except for our enclosed garden room. At first my hubby called an electrician which he promptly canceled after going outside and talking to neighbors who all had some power outage at their houses as well. It turns out a neighbor across the street was having solar paneling installed on their roof, and the guys working on it blew a transformer on a telephone pole along the street which affected a bunch of houses. We were lucky SC-Edison restored power by 7pm. My hubby ran extension cords from back room to fridge and fans. On to day 3 of last week.
Looking up at the tops of the trees you can see all the birds. I don’t have a long lens so this is as close as I can get. I like that you can at least make out the birds with the beautiful blue sky as background! This is a late morning walk and the eucalyptus trees are so very tall!
Day 3 I woke up to make my breakfast when my hubby called me. He had gotten up early to go eat breakfast with a friend. He was at the gas station and after pumping gas his car would not start. Yup, dead battery. That makes number 3 and we have been fine after this event. I believe things happen in 3’s, which I know is silly and I know it is probably just all ironic, or coincidental. I had to drive there with jumper cables and after that I could get back to my day. He had to buy a new battery and it was just over 3 years old and in an older car we do not drive everyday. Glad last week is behind us to be honest! It was just one of those weeks. It started out very gloomy…….
This is a wonderful photo as what stands out in the fog? The trees of course with the lights confused and on this morning, I love how crisp the foreground is with the brown fencing seemlingly outlining the photo.
And the gloom and doom of the foggy morning makes me happy that things are not doom and gloom at all. And I wanted to share my week as I still wanted to smile and remember the bright side of life. I want you all to know that this blog brings me much pleasure to write and share all the things that happen. It’s all called life, and we have to take all the curve balls that are thrown our way and figure out a way to keep seeing through the fog! ❤
Weather is wonderful for trees as they get fed with precious water. Where are you rain? It was absent this year, a very dry year here where I live. This was one very wet year we had just about 2 years ago. You can see all the water as the ground is very saturated. I suppose I should have put this in my palm tree post that I already shared, but this fits my theme which is the sky. I suppose it could be weather too, but I have so many photos of the sunrise that I wanted to dedicate a whole post to sky, sun and trees! That is my theme today, with a few stories thrown in for good measure!
As much as we need rain, the sun just makes me smile. We make a big deal about weather here where we live because we have far more sunny days then we do cloudy rainy days. We can get some foggy mornings but the fog doesn’t last long.
The sun so bright its rays bringing warmth and growth to trees and plants alike. I just LOVE the glow of the sun in this photo with the eucalyptus standing so very tall next to the row of palm trees! I think it’s gorgeous.
As I passed my 3 day event mark and feeling like things had settled down I was able to share my previous post which I did a double tree square post with my weekly smile post. I said to myself, I just can’t smile about all the events that happened to us this last week. But I can certainly smile about trees, and so that’s how that post came to life. And as I close this post out I have to say I so loved this challenge and this will be my last #treesquare challenge share as this month is coming to an end soon. (I may do one more post if time permits, but am not sure) I hope you enjoyed my tree photos as much as I do by putting this altogether to share!
Looking between Chloe’s ears as I ride back in from trail looking at the big beautiful tree that is so tall I could not fit it all in the photo. It is a California Pepper Tree and it provides a ton of shade as you can see on the barn there which is our tack room and row of cross-ties where we groom and bathe our horses!
Sharing my trees all around my neighborhood has brought me great joy. I wanted you all to see what I see through the lens of my camera. Thank you for letting me share the happenings intertwined within this challenge. Living life, it’s what we do! Thank you BeckyB for a wonderful challenge for #Treesquares!
I could not resist taking a photo of these beautiful flowers on a trail ride!
Welcome to my #treesquare post hooking up with BeckyB for this month of July and all things trees! I am also calling this my #weeklysmile post as I just LOVE trees and thought not only are trees so important to our planet, they also make me smile. I have an idea of a theme and it doesn’t include this first photo which technically isn’t really a tree and I thought it was a good opener. 😀
This is one of our palm trees in my front yard. They are getting pretty tall and are so pretty!
Looking up at a freshly trimmed palm tree! I think this looks so cool!
This was from our trip to Hawaii a year and a half ago! Everything is so green and pretty!
I thought this was such a pretty photo at the Aquarium of the Pacific. We visited late last year and I love all the palms!
By now I think you see my theme for the trees. Yes, it is the beautiful palm trees. I just had to look them up and there are about 2600 species of palms. Most of them living in tropical, subtropical and warm temperate climates. They are very much a part of Southern California landscape. California is such a big state that it could actually be two states if you were to cut it in half as not only does the climate change but so does the landscape and tree-scape. Northern California is home to the giant sequoias, a far cry from palm trees! It is such a diverse state. So much to see and do in California! 😀
My palm tree at night with a full moon!
This just makes me smile! There are so many trees out there and I have seen some beautiful tree posts with gorgeous tree photos. This is just a sample of the palms that are around and I really didn’t want to let another week go by as I really wanted to share my tree square post and thought this would make a great smile post too!
Welcome to my weekend coffee share and how would you like your coffee today? Or I have tea or juice, apple or cranberry today? I can’t believe it is more than half way through July. And we are feeling the heat and I am always thankful when there is a breeze which makes being outside a bit easier. I wanted to share my teeny tiny garden and I actually just threw some tomato seeds in my container with some fresh fertilizer and thought maybe they will grow and if they don’t that’s okay too. I’ve been so darn busy that this year it’s just going to be tomatoes, and even though I long for a fruitful garden it takes work.
I want to give a shout out to all you wonderful gardener’s out there because you all ROCK! I supposed when you garden (and you are good at it) you become efficient, and you are probably organized and so it all just falls into place for you and your schedule of watering is on point and on and on… perfect gardening techniques I am finding takes practice, and so I mulched around the sprouting tomato plants and I know the container is being watered and staying moist more evenly (I hope!) as I know this is important too.
Tomato plants growing big and tall! I have 4 plants in one container, I hope that’s not too many?
Haha, I already pulled out a plant early on as I knew I should thin out the container. I then thought let me see what these 4 plants do and I can always pull one or two out if needed. But now that they are getting so big, I want to see what they will provide! They have plenty of room, so I think they are okay. It is great fun watching them grow and I have other plants and flowers I water so I am always outside doing something.
My hubby is almost done with the retaining wall in our backyard, YAY! What a job, but it looks so much better which is wonderful. We will wait until fall to think about landscaping shrubs or ground cover plants. I want to plant some trees too. We have such mild weather here in Southern California I really don’t have to worry about planting in the fall. As I am talking about being outdoors you must know the next subject I want to share is my trail rides and my horses! I’ll start with a video I made today and a shout out to my weekend coffee share peeps! Haha, I hope you all know I say howdy to anyone who stops and visits here! You are all WELCOME! I hope you enjoy! 😀
We were chatting away and as we headed down this street I thought let’s make a video. My girlfriend took out her phone to take a video of me since I am never in my videos ~ how sweet! She accidentally hit slo-mo so her video was all in slow motion, oh dear, haha! Maybe next time she can make one and I can use to share! Thanks for trying pony sister, there is always next time! ❤
After I returned to the barn I hosed off Chloe as it was already pretty hot out and then I turned my attention to Murphy. So I will share some photos and I made a little video with Murph too. It was a fun morning at the barn. It was another pony sister’s birthday. There were cupcakes brought for the birthday and they were delicious. (We like to call each other pony sister’s because of our love for horses! If you have never met a horse crazy gal, well you are reading her blog right now!) 😀
He LOVES people and attention which I am sure you can tell. His nose is super soft and I love kissing his nose when I can!
Silly selfie video, but it was fun to make! I was trying to get his whole head in the view of my phone. I did pretty good, but what I am most impressed with (myself) is I was able to give him a kiss and got it on video! Haha, I have tried with Miss Chloe before and there’s just a way that you need to hold your phone. I had so much fun working with him today.
I wanted to wrap up my #weekendcoffeeshare with I connected with my oldest sister and we chatted and I think I have figured out a date to visit her in Colorado. I need to check out airline flights and figure out all the details and this will be at the end of August so I have plenty of time. In just a few weeks I will be heading to Arizona for my grand daughter’s 6th birthday! YAY! She is getting so big and I am so excited. I will say that I kind of wish she was born in the fall or winter, haha, just because it is so hot in August! It’s all good, and I’m so excited my daughter will be joining us too! I hope you all stay cool, safe and healthy!
Welcome to my coffee share for this second weekend in July!
I think I have made up for last year where we couldn’t visit family as we are getting in lots of family weekends recently. My hubby hadn’t seen my daughter’s house she moved to that she is leasing so for the 4th of July weekend we drove up to her place to spend time with her. It was a great visit however my son in Arizona called me Saturday night and he and his family decided to drive to California for an impromptu visit. They drove through the night while the grandkids slept and then they stayed in our room since we weren’t home. We drove home the next morning to spend the 4th with my son and family which included fireworks!
Oh where are my manners, can I get you a cup of coffee or tea? Hot or cold? I have some cookies to go with, store bought but I think good to go with either beverage. I wanted to share some photos from last weekend because you know, I am always so happy to see my grandkids and share. I always try and get a couple of selfies too! SO FUN!
She ALWAYS wants to do a goofy photo! She is so adorable and fun!
I asked her for a nice smiling photo and she is now old enough to comply. She use to ignore my wishes, she will be 6 soon and is growing up fast!
My sweet grandson! I got him to smile by my huge smile as he can see himself as I took the photo! He is so adorable too!
I do miss my grandkids immensely but it has helped to be able to visit them this year. I think you can see how excited I was to see them and I don’t think I have taken or shared selfies in awhile. I have one more photo I wanted to share as after I took it I realized it has three generations in the photo. A happy accident, and it’s a cute photo of the guys in my family!
My grandson doesn’t look too happy but I think he was getting tired. It was a long day for him at the 4th of July party.
Family is so important to me and I have extended family I wish I could see more often as well. I have all my sister’s and brother, it is hard to figure out who I want to visit next and as I try and figure out my traveling plans the time just keeps passing by. I have sister’s that read this blog and I do want to come visit and am hoping I can figure out when I can come out and spend a weekend. It will all work itself out eventually, and they all know our immediate family’s have priority. I at least can share on social media all that’s happening which includes here as well! 😀
Can I get you a refill? Top off the tea or coffee? I wanted to share some fun horse photos and a video of Murphy in action! I also took an action shot of Chloe in the arena trotting around that turned out pretty good. Both my horses are doing really good. I keep them separated and they are not turned out together at all. I want them to have autonomy and I can tell you that Chloe is much happier not having Zack by her side on the trails. He use to nip at her and was a pesky fellow, and she put up with his antics but is much more relaxed walking by herself or with my girlfriend or any other horses that are ridden out with us on the trails.
I zoomed in on my lucky shot of Chloe trotting, and all but her right back leg are off the ground which I think is a cool action shot. And Chloe up close, silly girl!
It’s nice to let them graze and I can tell you he is enjoying this time on the grass as they all do!
I had him turned out in the arena and he is learning to trot and canter when I ask him and he is so big that his strides cover the ground pretty quickly. Our arena is really not that big, which is a good thing as he can’t get going too fast. He is definitely on the lazy side as horses go and that is exactly the way I like him as he needs to be relaxed and sensible once we get out on the trails.
He is so beautiful and fun to watch him in the arena. At the end of the video I like how he just stops and stands there as that is a really calm and lazy horse. I hope he stays this mellow, I think he will! I also had a set back over a week ago where I did not have the bell boots on his front hoofs. At the end of the video you can see them, they are rubber with velcro that go around his pastern and hang down around the hoof. This will help him not step on the back of his shoes with his back hoof! He did this and pulled off a shoe, so I am hoping the bell boots will be the fix and we won’t have any more shoes come off.
Thank you so much for having coffee with me today. I am sharing last weekend this weekend, but that’s all good. This weekend I am home and just riding the horses and so not much to report. I missed last weeks coffee share and thought this way I can catch you up on all the happenings! Thank you Natalie for hosting the #weekendcoffeeshare link and I hope you all stay safe, healthy and happy!
Trees provide us with so many things, most days it provides shade for Zack and my girl Chloe!
This photo is from my archive just over a year ago. Trees see so much and can be around for many, many years. Providing some shade and now memories as my boy Zack is now running free and it brings warm fuzzy feelings seeing him from time to time in my archives. This tree challenge is so much fun and I hope you enjoy my theme for this day, and I am sure you will have no trouble guessing what that is?
Miss Chloe and I out on the trail on a beautiful tree lined street!
Another from my archive and to be honest I may not be riding alone as my bestie girlfriend may be with me but I can’t remember. I go on so many rides! Which is my therapy, my Love, my horses. I will look for a photo with the two of us together. That would be fun to share too!
Here we are together with a huge giant California pepper tree in front of us on the trail! Chloe has an ear cocked back listening to me talk as we chat all the while when we ride. Love our trail rides together!
This is from last year and my girlfriend has since retired her chestnut mare, Gracie. She has bought a new horse to ride on the trails with Chloe and I, and Gracie is doing fine in retirement. 😀 Now on to my recent photos that I want to share as I got ready for this challenge there was some beautiful flowering jacaranda trees on the trails. I’ve shared some of these photo’s already, but saved a few that will be new!
Absolutely beautiful! Purple flowers and the best view ever between my horses ears!
She see’s someone across the street and with the jacaranda tree near her I had to take a photo! So pretty!
As we walked under the tree I looked up and took this photo! I thought it was cool! It may not be completely in focus as I didn’t stop, just clicked away. Can you tell my theme yet? The photo above is the only photo without one of my horses in it and so that is my tree theme today! Trees and my beautiful horses. Here are a few more photos, after all I do not want to leave anyone out!
My new horse Murphy with another shade tree at the barn!
I didn’t plan on using a photo of Murph and I like this photo except I cut off his nose. Haha, it’s eclectic and different is how I have to look at it and at least it has a decent tree shot included! Murphy is doing really well and I will share more of him in my coffee share this weekend. So if you follow me, you will see him in action as I have some video to share! (A good tease, don’t you think?) I would include a link but I haven’t written it yet. Maybe I will title it with “Murphy in Action” so it will be easy to find! 😉
One of my favorite tree photos! I saw her standing there and thought PERFECT for sharing! This just makes me SMILE!! ❤
And we have come full circle! I was sitting in a chair waiting for my farrier as Miss Chloe was standing under this shade tree. It is the same tree in the first photo with Zack and Chloe, just from a different angle. We have gone back a year, gone on some trail rides and finished up with some beautiful shade from a tree that isn’t all that big, but sure can provide some shade. There is some meaning in all of this somewhere, maybe it’s look back in your past with loving fond memories but also look forward as you never know what the future will hold. Here I am with a new horse Murphy, to be here as I Love and take care of my aging mare, Chloe. They all have my heart! I hope you all enjoyed my trees for today photos and thank you BeckyB for this wonderful challenge.
A beautiful tree with a cool treehouse on our walk to breakfast! I LOVE IT!
Welcome to my #treesquare challenge post for BeckyB’s Challenge for the month of July. I absolutely LOVE trees almost as much as I love flowers and thankfully many trees have flowers so I’m in love with this challenge. I hope to share more than just a couple of posts of my tree photo collection. I may go through my photos to see what I have taken over the last few years as well. I was visiting my daughter this last weekend when we came upon this tree house on our way to breakfast. She lives in a small town in Orcutt, and breakfast was around the corner. We had a wonderful time there and the weather was PERFECT! Always cool as she lives near the ocean along the California coast!
My daughter with some beautiful trees in downtown Riverside!
This was the weekend before last when my daughter was home visiting us and her best friend. We had a girls day where we shopped and ate in downtown Riverside. Lots of cool old buildings with lots of mature old trees! We had a fun day together and I couldn’t resist a photo or two of our outing!
Beautiful tree lined street, an outdoor market and my daughter’s bestie standing to the left. Oh, my daughter is way off to the right reading something and I don’t know the people on the bench. 😀
I often like to have a theme as that is how my brain works. I think with this treesquare challenge my theme is visiting with family and a few different locations with beautiful trees. I may not always have a theme, but when I can make it work it helps with the flow of my thoughts and I hope makes my posts more enjoyable! I have one more tree photo I will end with as I was with my son and his wife and my grandkids this last weekend. I was visiting my daughter when my son called and said they wanted to drive to California for an impromptu visit! So we left my daughter’s early to meet up with my son and family.
Happy 4th of July! waiting for fireworks with a beautiful sunset with a tree lined view!
As we waited for the fireworks to start we watched the setting sun and I asked my son to take a couple of photos for me as I left my phone inside. We were at my daughter-in-law’s Aunt’s house, so sweet they invited us all to join them for a BBQ. It was a great time and I was able to spend some time with my grandkids too. It has been such a busy last couple of weeks, but it’s all a GOOD busy! With lots of fun, love and family time. I hope you enjoyed my tree photos and I thank you for visiting and thank you Becky for this wonderful challenge!
