My Weekly Smile; Dec. 10, 2020

I really want to participate in this weeks smiles and I have exactly 15 minutes to write this post! Haha, you would think that its easy peasy but I like to put some thought in the lay out and what photos I want to share. And then I re-read my posts over and over again for many reasons. Continuity, spelling errors and I may not be grammatically correct most of the time but I want it to sound like me! (I’m a little OCD, Lol) And sometimes I get stuck and my sentences or thoughts flowing out may not make a lot of sense so I have to rewrite the sentence so things flow like I want.

As I quickly put this together I am hoping it flows nicely and well, if there are errors then that’s what it is as I want to be spontaneous and share my happy week. Today was a beautiful day and I was able to go out on a trail ride. I share so many photos of my ponies which I will today as well. But they sure make me smile over and over again! I wish Zack was a bit more calmer in his box stall as he still gets a bit upset when he can’t see Chloe across the aisle. She will go outside her box stall in her run and stand behind the part of the box stall next to the opening to her barn stall. I took a photo of her stall so you can see the opening and she stands behind this.

There is never an ideal situation for these ponies unless you have a lot of money and can afford your own horse property. One day there will be open paddocks where I use to keep them here as people do eventually move to either other areas or other stables. There is one woman here moving to Texas but she has a box stall with a run, which is more expensive than where Zack is currently living and if I move him he won’t be able to always be able to see into Chloe’s stall. So I think I will have to wait for open (outside) pens or paddocks.

These ponies always bring great joy to my life and now that my schedule has settled down I am able to get into a routine with them which helps them be calmer and more at home. Well, my 15 minutes are up and I have to get going to work. I hope you are all having a great week and thank you for visiting my smile today! Here is a goofy photo of Chloe and she is sending you a kiss!

Happy, trail riding Cowgirl!

  1. Your smiles made me smile. Horses that bond to one another happens often. There is one horse ar out barn who gets very upset if he is brought in and his next door neighbor is not in. He calls and calls. Now they bring them in together. Thank you for sharing these nice smiles.

    1. Oh I’m so happy you smiled with me with my smiles!! The Ponies definitely make me so happy but ~ Why do we worry so much about our Ponies? I know the situation is not ideal for Zack (Chloe is super happy in the barn with the run!) And I know Chloe is really happy being back at this “original” barn. I know one day in the future some paddocks will open up. He seems fine other than the nervousness of “where’s Chloe?” When he can’t see her! I also am feeding him natural calming supplements which I think has been helping him not be too neurotic! 🀣 I really wish I never moved them to begin with. C’est le vie! πŸ₯°πŸ€ πŸ΄

  2. Glad Chloe and Zack are able to bring smiles to your face πŸ™‚ I am funny in that I write almost stream of conscious and post as soon as I am done with almost no proof reading…. Oh well, I also find a lot of errors and sometimes go back and fix them πŸ˜‰

    1. Thanks so much Trent! I love all my animals and they all put smiles on my face as I’m sure is true for everyone with fun, loveable animals. I think horses are a bit of an obsession for many, including me and a very expensive one at that!! Haha, so I love to share as I know they are a more unusual pet. Or should I call it a hobby? I use to compete growing up, so I think of it as a sport as well, but these two can’t compete so I smile and love on them and try and enjoy and share the best I can. So that’s why they are almost always front and center! Haha!

And I wish I wasn’t so OCD about writing my blog. Actually putting this together showed me I could possibly write more often if I don’t fret about mistakes. And your right, I could go back and fix them. It’s just me… (I even re-read my comments and worry about them sometimes too! But worry more about how I’m coming across or my point of view. I think you know what I mean?) See, I’m going to apologise for the long response! Lol 🀣

      1. Communicating on a personal level in writing isn’t easy – it is so easy for people to get the wrong idea! So, yeah, I often worry that I made my point, particularly in a comment. It is so easy to come across the wrong way. The funny thing is that most of the time we give others the benefit of the doubt, but are concerned about our own. Oh well. I hope you have a great weekend!

  3. Love love your smiley time, it is so tricky when you have such a connection with who your ponies are & their needs. I have seen people hang mirrors that reflect into neighbouring stables to help calm a horse who may have separation anxiety. Your ponies are so blessed to have such a wonderful pet such as yourself.lol. Hope your day at work was a grand one. I look forward to many of your happy trails ahead.

    1. Oh that’s a great idea!! I’ll go look for a mirror for Zacks stall. That’s genius, oh I can’t wait to try that! Thanks so much for that! It may really help him and you know us horse Mom’s will try anything to make our Ponies happy and less stressed. Thanks for the visit, love our chats and I hope you have a wonderful weekend and week ahead!
