Welcome to my smile post! What made you smile this week?
I usually write my smile post either on Tuesday or Wednesday but this week has gotten away from me, and here it is Thursday. My smile post this week goes to my big sister. We had the best sister chat this week and I wanted to dedicate this weeks smile to her as she made me smile and it was so GREAT catching up! I don’t want to offend any of my sister’s and some of my sisters read my blog posts – so sending LOVE to all and if I haven’t chatted with you, maybe we can catch up with each other this weekend! It’s never too late and always WELCOME! ❤ ❤ ❤
Talking to your sister is sometimes all the therapy you need!
We live in different states. I am one of 6 children and we occupy 5 states in the Western United States. We all moved away for one reason or another from Southern California where we grew up. I am the only one left here and miss my family so much. I actually had wanted to travel this year and was hoping to visit each sister and brother and along the way make it a celebration as this year I turn 60. BUT those plans got canceled and we all know the reason why. So I plan on phone chats more often and catching up with them all before to much more time passes. 😀
I just wanted to share how family can be so supportive and how much I miss everyone. Talking with my sister really put a huge smile on my face, and is I believe the best therapy especially when Mom and Dad are in heaven. My sister’s and brother are all a blessing, and I should reach out and connect more often. I am so thankful for the ones who keep in touch with me with my blogging as we actually exchange messages each week. I think this blog post will surprise them. SO I AM GOING TO TELL THEM, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! HUGS! ❤
Happy Smiling Sister! 😀
Love, Diana
Talking on the phone is a good idea given the impossibility of travel these days. My husband and I are both only children. No siblings for either of us so our two kids had no Aunts or Uncles. And both of our parents were dead when we had children so they had no Grandparents either. So we were a small and tight unit. Our daughter and grandson and step granddaughters are about 2 hours away and we were able to go to see them a couple of weeks ago when our Province opened up to a Stage 2. Our daughters family is now our “bubble”. When our kids were growing up and had some squabbles I used to tell them that they were the only family they had and they better repair their differences. And they did. They talk on Face-time now as our son lives in England. They give each other a lot of support. Thanks Diana for sharing your smile.😀

Thank you so much for your wonderful response. You have a WONDERFUL “bubble” and I’m so happy they are only 2 hours away, except for your son of course. That is the greatest advice as when from a small family unit its important to stay connected. My hubby is an only child, and married into a big family! I take it for granted sometimes and need to do better staying in touch! Hugs to you and family! ❤️❤️❤️

YES! I have one sister who I miss terribly who use to live 6 miles away and we rode horses almost every day together. Her husband had a dream to move to where they could have land and be in the mountains. They have moved to northern Idaho, 30 miles from the Canadian border. So beautiful there, and they could have horses but she has chosen to just ride horses there with friends she has met up there. Probably a more affordable way to enjoy them! We grew up riding together so it’s in our blood! Haha, but it’s just my younger sister and I with this passion. My other 3 sister’s and 1 brother are not horse nuts! Lol 🤣 but they do understand our obsession!! Thanks so much as always for stopping by as I so enjoy our chats and I hope you have a wonderful weekend too! 😉🤠😍

That is a great smile! I have four sisters, but I grew up with only one of them, and I am the closest ot her. We spoke on the phone the other day, and it is always so great hearing her voice. I have actually not seen her in real life in about 12 years, but when we talk it’s like we still share the top floor of our old house 🙂 Thank you for making me smile! I hope you keep smiling the rest of the week.
