Welcome to my coffee share, can I get you a cup of Joe? or are you in the mood for some herbal tea? or Ice tea? It’s been very hot this last week, but I must say today and this weekend the weather is very nice and so this makes me very happy when I am out riding my horses! I am going to enjoy this weekend with the warm weather before it heats up again next week. We are close enough to the ocean to where it will cool off at night and we get coastal fog that pushes inland and cools things off. Thankful for this cooling affect as it makes these Spring days beautiful! 😀
I am really happy I started my tiny garden. So far I haven’t killed anything and so far no animal or varmint has eaten anything! I am doing good, this is week one. I am getting some new growth on my veggies as they settle into their new home. And the perennials are super happy and are blooming again! They were blooming when I bought them, then got very sad when I transplanted them, then decided they liked their new home and began to bloom again!! YAY! I am SMILING from ear to ear! Thank you tiny container garden! ❤

I enjoy my gardening and need to get out there and do some weeding. Lucky I am doing container gardening so I just need to remove weeds around the containers. Since I am watering more often it is making the ground soft so the weeds come out pretty easily. I also need to trim my rose bushes. Some are blooming nicely and I know it will help the plant if I trim some of the older blooms. Maybe I will do this tomorrow as the weather should be nice and not too hot. High tomorrow 82 F (28 C) which is so much cooler than this next week it will be 102 F (39 C) YIKES!
On to my family – I MISS MY FAMILY! There, I said it and it is the truth! I know I will be able to see them hopefully sooner than later but I am thinking about them every day. I am actually messaging my daughter while I am writing this post. I just toggle back and forth from WordPress to Facebook messenger and I am finding it really FUN! I miss her so much! AND I miss my grand babies! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

I’ll say it for you, AWW, I love them so very much and I cannot wait til the day where I am heading to their house in Arizona! I think its time for another video chat with them so I will contact my son and see how they are doing and if we can chat this weekend. Baby Teddy had his 2 months shots this last Wednesday and he was upset and grumpy that first day but was much better the next day so he should be feeling good this weekend. I’m excited. I really am so thankful for all of our technology.
I hope you enjoyed my coffee share today. I so enjoy sharing with you all and I hope this coffee share finds you well and doing good. I have to thank Eclectic Alli for hosting our meeting place for our coffee shares. I am not very good at creating a link, it should be here and if it works there will be other coffee shares to read. I well end with my other pretty rose photo!

Have a wonderful weekend!
Happy Gardening Grandma,
~Diana ❤
I so understand that you miss your family ! Your roses are lovely. Your weather is very different compared to ours. We have around 25F today. We had some warmer days two weeks ago, but we are looking forward to another cool week. May is usually warm(wish) at least 65F. Thank you for the coffee!

Oh, I am quite jealous of you and your horses! I fell in love with your grandkids and hope you get to hug and kiss them soon! They are simply adorable. Your plants are doing very well. I love those brilliant roses. We have so many deer that unless everything is fenced and meshed and gated, there’s no way to keep them off our ‘salad bar.’
Thanks for sharing!

Awe, thank you so much for your kind comments! I feel so blessed to be able to have my horses, they bring me so much joy and happiness. And a big AWE for loving my grand babies too ❤️, praying I’ll be able to give those hugs and kisses to my grandkids soon, as soon as it’s safe! 😍 And we don’t have deer around here, but plenty of bunnies and gophers. I’m hoping my container garden works better than planting in the ground! 😀🥰

Hi Diana, Your grands are adorable and your container garden looks great. It’s cooler where I live so I’m waiting for a couple more weeks before planting a tiny garden like yours. I hope the nice weather stays so you can go out and ride your horses comfortably. Thank you for your coffee share and the beautiful roses. #weekendcoffeeshare

Hi Diana,
Yes – this limitation on who we can see when is getting very old.
We are fortunate in that all 3 of our adult kids still live with us, but one is away at college, attending from his shared apartment only a few blocks from the school campus. Ironic. . .
Oh and I tried you link back to Alli’s full collection and it worked perfectly.
Thanks for the warm hospitality.

Oh super good the link worked! I’m getting better! Lol – And you and family are lucky and blessed. So happy you all have each other close by! Don’t tell anyone but I’m going to sneak up and visit my daughter at end of this next week. She’s 3.5 hrs North of me and I figured a weekend visit won’t hurt and will take precautions so we all stay safe! We will break bread, play board games and watch a movie or two! Thanks for visiting and as always dear friend, so enjoyable to hear from you! ❤️😀😍

I love that your plants decided to be happy with you, who wouldn’t be your such a awesome being. The flowers are so pretty, I’m glad things around you are making you smile. The Grand kiddies are just adorable. How long before you can see them do you think, I hope soon. Be well & never stop smelling the flowers or the horses, horses have the best smell.

YES!! Horses do have the best smell, Love that smell so amazing, and of course flowers too! And thanks dear friend, am going to go see my daughter this next week. Shh, we will be safe and just hang out at her apartment, visit and play board games and watch a movie or two! 😉 I’m asking my son to see if maybe I can visit by end of this month or beginning of June, and hoping this will work out for a Phoenix trip. I don’t think I can wait much longer!! Haha, but will respect what they decide! You are such a sweetie!! Be safe and happy days with our gardens! ❤️🥰

What a lovely garden, I especially love the roses… What do roses eat? hahaha I was just thinking that cause your caption mentions buying roses food… Reminded me of a book I read about a rather carnivorous rose garden… it was a funny creepy story
We keep extensions on the lockdown who knows when one can move freely I miss normal
Have an awesome week ahead

Haha, plant food is a strange thing and I wonder why the roses need their own special food or nutrients? I bought a bag of flower and veggie food, and next to it was a bag just for roses. Such needy plants! That book sounds interesting and scary! Lol 😀
Yes, even though my every day life hasn’t changed much since I’m still working, I can’t just go to stores like I want to that are closed. I need some yarn to start another baby blanket, I’ll have to order online. I want normal back 😭 miss it immensely!! I hope you have a good week too! 😍

Hi Diana,
It must be so hard not to have seen your new grandson yet and to give him a cuddle. I live in Australia and that’s been one of the hardest things here about lockdown and social distancing…all the grandchildren and grandparents being separated. Last Friday, restrictions eased and two adults and dependent children can can visit someone in their home. Many families got together last weekend. However, my Mum had had her flu shot and was symptomatic and cancelled on us. This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day and we’re planning to head down then. I can’t wait. Not being able to see my mum and dad for so long particularly in crisis, has been very difficult seemingly more so for me than for them. Our kids are teenagers so they haven’t missed them quite so much as they would’ve had they been younger, but they’re still feeling it.
I have health issues, so we will be staying at home longer than most. I have seen just how many people one person can pass the virus onto and that’s enough to keep me home.
Thankfully, infection rates here are good so I might not be locked up quite forever.
Best wishes,
Rowena

Thank you so kindly Rowena for you wonderful comments!! YES, this has been so difficult not being able to visit family and I’m glad you are able to visit this coming weekend. All my grandparents and parents have passed, many years now so now I’m the Grandma. In due time we will be together again, I just have to have patients!! ❤️😍 I’m glad you have stayed safe and I’m also so happy the infection rates are good there in Australia. You are so sweet, we are blessed to have such wonderful families! Take care my friend, Diana ❤️

It’s interesting how are positions within the family change over the years, and seemingly so quickly. I started to view this as like seats on the bus and as we get older, we moved further up the back of the bus. I suddenly found myself middle aged at a family wedding and what that was all about. There was the older generation and the younger generation and I didn’t quite fit in either and felt a bit lost and left out. My mother is grateful that he older broher is still around and her aunt so she hasn’t quite moved to the back of the bus yet.
Take care as well and I pray you stay safe.
Best wishes,
Rowena
