Welcome to my weekend coffee share. I just got back from the stables enjoying my time with my ponies on a sunny day until the rain clouds moved in and they just rolled right on in and no more sun! It is raining now this afternoon and 50% chance of rain Saturday and Sunday. Basically it will be raining for the whole weekend. Welcome December! Wow, we had a crazy wet year last year and I was hoping for a bit of a break this year. I know we always need the rain, but when you own horses it’s a love/hate relationship with any kind of weather! I forgot to ask, do you need a refill on your coffee? or are you drinking tea, maybe ice tea? I’m getting a refill to go with my cookie snack! CRAZY WEATHER!!

I won’t show a decorated tree in this post because I really want to share this now and it will take me too long to get the whole tree decorated. It will be motivating instead to get the tree decorated so I can write a new post about my decorations! I like that idea, so ya’ll will have to wait to see the finished tree. I know everyone has seen a million tree decorations but it sure helps put me in the Christmas spirit! And I shouldn’t be so lazy, but working night shift and taking care of ponies, one gets a little tuckered out and now I have to decorate a tree! Are you feeling sorry for me yet? Haha, I’m just kidding of course, I enjoy Christmas but I have so many decorations I just need to get motivated to decorate! I’m just going on and on about this, I’m the hugest procrastinator. LOL 😀

I am trying really hard to get into the spirit and thought I would share my bears. How do you decorate for Christmas? I won’t put everything out as I do not have enough room. I definitely have too many decorations, just stuff I have collected over the years. Usually we decorate Thanksgiving weekend but with my sister and daughter visiting I didn’t want to pull out the decorations. Visiting with them was a ton of fun, and I still have plenty of time to get it all done. I will end with one more photo of my day. She always makes me smile!

Thank you for sharing coffee with me. My thoughts are rather all over the place, thinking of family, weather, work, Christmas, what to do for Christmas! It can sometimes be overwhelming during the holidays. I’m trying really hard to just take one day at a time. I made it through Thanksgiving weekend and I thought it all went GREAT. Now I want to buy some Christmas cards and then we will pick names for gifts this year. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for stopping by! 😀
Busy with the Holidays!

I used to love Christmas, but with my daughter and family in England, it’s a sad time. Therefore we go to the beach.

Aww… I totally would do the same thing in your shoes. Last year we all went to Phoenix to my son’s house for Christmas. So we didn’t put up any decorations, so it was a little sad but we still are close enough to be together. Giant Hugs! ❤️❤️❤️

Loved this coffee share. I’m reading it at night so I would have a herb tea to share with you. I agree about the rain and horses. Its the mud that makes for trouble with us. We have snow snow and more snow here. That is not really a problem as long as the horses have snow pads on their shod feet and some corks for ice. But it seems that on Monday we are having a thaw and rain. Oh lordy lordy that will be a real mess with melting snow and then it will freeze overnight and that means ice.If there is ice in sheets like a skating rink the horses cannot go out. So personally I am hoping we do not get a big thaw and rain. Have a pleasant weekend and enjoy all those darling bears.

Thank you so much Anne for your kind words and for reminding me it could be worse as we just have to deal with mud, no ice! I lived up in our local mountains for one year and we were at the 5500 foot level so we got a ton of snow and along with the snow black ice!! Oh the slipping and sliding. Sometimes not very funny when the car slides across the road! I can’t imagine having to deal with that weather with the horses and I was wondering if you all had special shoes! I pray you do not get a big thaw and rain! I know you head to Florida, will that be soon? I hope you have a wonderful weekend and yes, I love those cute bears! They make me smile! 😃❤️

Busy with the Holidays – that sounds like a good kind of busy 🙂 Your ponies are such a great source of happiness, and the Christmas decoration 🙂 Very nice Diana. Such a sweet, positive post. Enjoy your weekend! Thank you for the coffee! I’ll add that my thoughts are all over the place too.

Thank you so much Maria! Oh goodness, it’s like the holidays just sneak up on you right? And those ponies just help keep me grounded. I so ENJOYED having coffee with you this weekend and my thoughts are with you often as you gain your roots back there at home. I was able to put the Christmas lights on my tree last night before I got too sleepy. I’m excited to hang the ornaments today so the Christmas spirit is here! Lol 😀 sending Love to you and your daughter! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Diana. I’m glad you got lazy and produced a coffee share. The weekend is not complete without your visit. Okay, your carrying on about Christmas decorations made me laugh because in our home, my wife has a few ornaments me and the kids dislike and it’s a tradition to give mom grief about hauling them out each year.
Your photo above of all the critters on the couch reminded me of a certain one we always give her a hard time over. It’s was supposed to be a cute but very odd Santa doll – but it came out like a little monster in a Santa suit. We call it the Santa Goon and every year we remind mom how horrid it is – but we all laugh about it and we joke about the terrible accidents we would like to plan for it while mom threatens us with dire consequences should anything – anything happen to the Santa Goon.
I did write a story last year about one very unusual item that we always have on our tree. You might get a kick out of my huge mistake that resulted in it’s creation. If you want to postpone decorating for another 10 minutes, you could spend it with me and my story. I do love sharing these little essays and laughing with someone about them.
No time to read now? Well, okay then – up with you and time to get going. Ah, having second thoughts? Great, here’s the link then. You can call it background research for Christmas ornaments. I always enjoy our visits my friend. Have a great (and mostly dry) weekend.

Haha!! Thank you for your WONDERFUL comments and you have me giggling with the Santa goon, too funny!! I’ll check out your story you shared after my lunch. I’m rather starving after a morning of riding and taking care of my horses. I haven’t completely decorated my tree yet, just the lights are up! Thanks for the link as it will be easy to find and read.
Have a WONDERFUL weekend! ❤️🥰

Those Christmas bears are so cute! Our tree is not up either as my daughters are currently studying for their exams. I don’t think I am going to put it up this year as we are leaving for vacation the day after they are done.

Thank you so much Colline!! Last year we didn’t put a tree or any decorations up since we spent Christmas in Arizona, I totally understand if your not home then why decorate. 😃 Family is coming my way this Christmas, so out come the decorations! I’m still not done, am hoping to finish either Monday or Tuesday of this next week! Have a wonderful week! ❤️

Love the bears. I’ve started picking up snowmen here or there. I make it a rule not to pay more the a dollar or two when I’m lurking arou d thrifty stores. I’ll spend maybe 5 at the antique store IF it’s something really memorable like the sleigh on my sewing shelf. Glad to share this coffee with you and the cookie. Oh, I slipped the ponies some peppermint candies as I passed the barn. They whinnied in ecstasy. Lol!
